Heatherwood offers a wide range of services to best fit you and your skill level. See our full list of services below and please reach out if you have any additional questions or inquiries.

Riding Lessons

Heatherwood offers year-round horse riding lessons for all ages and skill levels, with group and private lessons available. The 8-week group lesson session will teach riders English hunter/jumper style riding. Make-up lessons are available for missed sessions, and all clients must complete a Rider Profile & Release of Liability form before their first lesson.

Total Horsemanship

Summer Camps

Week-long summer camps for children ages 5-15 to learn English-style horseback riding and care. The tuition includes riding twice a day, horse care, and horse-related games. The campers put on a show on Friday to demonstrate their skills. Camps run from Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 3 PM, rain or shine. Campers are assigned a horse for the week, and the camper-to-counselor ratio is 2:1.

Event Hosting

Host your next event at Heatherwood! From birthday parties to group outings, enjoy horseback riding, hands-on activities, and time with our animals in a fun, family-friendly farm setting. Packages include horse grooming, riding lessons, games, and party space—perfect for unforgettable memories year-round.

Horse Boarding

Heatherwood welcomes various riding styles & breeds except stallions. Inclusive of access to riding arenas and trails. Horses are pastured and have stalls, with individualized diets and supplements. Farrier and vet services are scheduled and billed separately. Owners provide extra supplements. A boarding agreement outlines responsibilities, and a deposit is required to reserve a spot.

Family Outings & Trail Rides

Enjoy a guided leisurely horseback ride on wooded trails with family or friends. Beginner-friendly horses, no experience necessary. $65/person, 1-1.5 hrs. Wear closed-toe shoes & bring a bicycle helmet or one can be provided. Contact to schedule and fill out a release form.
 

Birthday Parties

Providing birthday parties with horses year-round on weekends. Up to 10 children can enjoy a 2-hour experience with grooming, saddling, riding lessons, games on horseback, and birthday cake. Additional guests can be added for an additional cost. Parents can watch and take pictures for free. A rider profile and release of liability are required, riders must wear closed-toe shoes and bring a bicycle helmet.
 
Interactive

Farm Animal Experience

Visit Heatherwood’s Interactive Farm Animal Area to feed and watch alpacas, Nigerian dwarf goats, and Polish chickens. Get up close with these cute animals!
 

Interscholastic Equestrian Team

Inviting riders in grades 4-12 to join their Interscholastic Equestrian Team, no horse ownership required. Competitions begin in late summer/fall with advancement opportunities. The team is welcoming and supportive with a focus on developing skills for the show ring and promoting lifelong involvement in equestrian athletics.
 
Ladies & Gents

Riding Club

The Ladies & Gent Riding Club offers adults who take lessons, own or lease a horse, the opportunity to ride together. Theres no fee to join the club , and rides are scheduled through group text or email on weekends or after work. Special club times with riding and food are also available.
 

Horses for Lease

Some of our horses are available for lease on a monthly basis. Horses and riders are matched according to compatibility & skill levels.
