Heatherwood offers year-round horseback riding lessons in the South Bend, Indiana area for riders of all ages and experience levels. We provide both group and private riding lessons, with flexible scheduling and makeup lessons when needed. Our lesson program runs in 8-week sessions priced at $300 per rider, allowing students to build confidence, improve riding skills, and develop a strong connection with horses over time.

We pride ourselves on maintaining a family-friendly equestrian environment where riders of all disciplines are welcome. At Heatherwood, we accept mares, geldings, and young horses, but we are not equipped to accommodate stallions. Our goal is to create a relaxed and supportive setting where riders can learn horsemanship, build confidence, and enjoy time with horses.

While we are not a large show barn with every modern feature, we focus on what matters most—quality horse care, safety, and a welcoming riding community. Every horse at Heatherwood is treated with kindness, respect, and attention to their individual needs.
